Queen rearing at Co. Cork association '09

A very successful queen rearing demonstration was organised and run by Noel Power at Co. Cork BKA during May. This resulted in the production of a large number of queen cells which were used to make up nucs for sale to beginners and some of which were distributed to members who had prepared colonies to mate them from. More about the queen rearing programme can be found here: Queen Rearing '09

Registration with the Department

Members are reminded that they should register with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food as primary food producers. The necessary form can be downloaded from here and should be returned to the Department.
