Autumn series

Each year County Cork Beekeepers' Association holds a course for Beginners at the Cork Institute of Technology. The class commences in mid-October and is held on Wednesday evenings for usually six weeks.

All the tasks necessary for successful beekeeping are explained at these classes and the instructors are always ready to answer questions. As a follow up to these talks... Special practical sessions are arranged in April of the following year.

Practical Demonstrations

These practical sessions usually take place at 3pm on Saturday afternoon in the Association's apiary at the outer end of the Carrigrohane Straight Road. 

At these outdoor meetings the beginner will experience a real sense of understanding what has been presented in the lecture hall during the previous Autumn and it will all begin to make sense.
